About JSON iGraph

JSON iGraph (jsonigraph.com) is a free set of JSON tools that runs entirely in your browser. It turns any JSON document into an interactive graph you can read at a glance, and it formats, validates and compares JSON too, with no account, no signup and nothing you paste uploaded.

JSON iGraph is not affiliated with the igraph network-analysis library.

Why JSON iGraph exists

JSON is easy for machines and hard for people. An API response, a log line or a config file arrives as a wall of brackets, and most formatters still show it as one long column of text. The tools are built around one question: what if you could see the shape of a document before reading it line by line?

So every object and array becomes a node, nested data becomes connected nodes, and an array of ten or more records collapses into a single card that describes its fields. The structure is the first thing you see; the details are one click away.

How your JSON stays private

Every tool runs in your browser. Parsing, formatting, validation, diffing and graph building happen on your own device, mostly in a Web Worker, so there is no server in the path that could receive your JSON. You can check it yourself: open your browser's network tab and paste a document, and no request carries it.

Share links keep the document after the # in the URL, which browsers never send to a server. For the analytics and cookies the site does use, read how we handle data.

Built on open standards

The tools follow the published standards rather than rules of their own: JSON as defined by RFC 8259 and ECMA-404, and node paths written in RFC 9535 JSONPath syntax. JSON Diff uses the Myers difference algorithm, the same family git uses by default.

Who runs JSON iGraph

It is built and run by an independent developer. Questions, bug reports and ideas are welcome at [email protected].
